Hello visitors, clients and friends. Well, we just returned from a blast of a trip at the Cabo Desire property. It was our second trip out in 2007 and this time we went with LL friends. Great place, great food, great entertainment, great couples, great weather....need we say more?

One might think that a full resort with a group might cause some stress on the system and decrease service. Nothing was further from the truth. Rodolfo, the General Manager, did everything right to keep everyone happy.

Support staffers were flown in from the Cancun property and were quite the big hit. The usual staffers are great already, but this really amped things up.

We will keep you all posted with any future trips, the next one planned for this November, with a small group of our own clients and friends. But for now, if you want to try something upscale but spicy different, consider Desire in Cabo San Lucas. You will enjoy it.

So, you want something different? Something upscale but deliciously naughty? Especially if you live on the West coast, this new Desire property is for you! We have been at the Cancun resort, but this one, in our opinion, is one cut above in many ways.

The resort has been refurbished and no expense was spared. The rooms, from the basic rooms to the fabulous Jacuzzi and Passion Suites, are definitely at the Four Diamond level.

The resort has 154 rooms and suites with views overlooking the clothing optional pool, or spectacular ocean view. The All-Inclusive program offers a selection of restaurants,bars,lounges, night club and gym. You will find a wide variety of activities, entertainment and water sports ... all designed with the utmost in personalized service for its couples-only clientele.

The restaurants include Japanese, Italian, Continental and Grill culinary delights. Most are open on all days, sometimes with a menu, sometimes with a buffet....but always good. If you get tired of the on-site cuisine, there are local restaurants near by to sample and Cabo itself, with many happening party spots, is only about 35 minutes by cab.

Personally we enjoyed it so much on the property that we only ventured out on one night to Cabo and the Giggling Marlin among other spots. Onsite fireside entertainment nightly as well as the disco keeps things lively by anyone's standards.

We met with the administrative staff, including the GM who is committed to make this resort a success. After only about 6 months of being open, it is definitely on our list to return. Upon invitation, we will be back in November '07 to check out what it's like with a LL group takeover! Can't wait! Will report out later.....

Meanwhile, if you're just considering a couples getaway with a twist, this is it. Two thumbs up.

For brash and unbridled fun, there's always Hedonism. We prefer the newer property of Hedo 3 and just returned from another solid week of extreme fun. There is no other way to describe it. It's kind of like a Disney-like park for adults behaving "badly".

Although the resort is aging too rapidly in our eyes, and keeps getting beat up by the hurricanes, it is still a well appointed property by Jamaican standards. The rooms, esecially the suites, all have great to reasonable views. But who wants to stay indoors? It was balmy weather, way into the wee hours of the early morning when the jacuzzis were finally clearing.

We found the resort upgraded from the year before, when the storms kept the drain pipe system overloaded. However, if you wear high heels, keep an eye out....or have someone hold on.....especially after a few rum drinks on board. There are booby traps all over. Nonetheless, when you do make it up to the disco, it's non-stop party.....to the jacuzzis....and to the rooms.

The GM and staff from last year graciously offered return visits after the weather debacles they had in 2005 and we were glad we took advantage to re-FAM this resort.

There are a lot of sites out there that enumerate the details of accomodations, so we'll keep this blog recommendation short. If you haven't been there, it's a must see. You won't experience anything else like it.

Hello all. This was our first trip out to the fabled Hedo 3 after joining the travel industry. We wanted to experience this first-hand to give you the low-down on what to expect as clients and fellow naughty-travelers to-be.

The trip from the airport is nothing less than adventurous in one of the cabs, so unless you like a lot of adrenaline rushes dodging people and cows in the left hand lane.....take the bus that is usually offered as part of package deals. Having said that, we took the cab, which was sort of like a terrorist wagon...We arrived safely...but no guarantees.

The resort is quite expansive, with a good mix of quiet time areas and party hearty areas. The Quad pool can get a little loud or be boring, depeding upon who is there. But the entertainment staff usually keep things going with body shots and the like.. Our main hangout is the nude pool....not clothing optional....nude. That is where the fun people hang out, and if you've never done this, will get you in relaxed mode in short order.

As the sun sets, there are a lot of picturesque photo ops areas, just not in the nude pool area. Otherwise, a stroll by the crashing waves is very pleasant as you make your way to the beach and/or the bar(s).

Dining was a littel disappointing, but reasonable with a good mix of restaurants on premise....Japaneses, Italian and the main buffet dining room. There is also another grill by the nude pool and one by the breaking waves. If you like jerk chicken and strong Jamaican drinks, you've come to the right place.

At night the place goes wild in every sense of the word. Check out the piano bar, the disco( which gets started later), the jacuzzis...everything is a buzz. Oh yeah, and then there are the theme nights.....talk about adults behaving badly....quite a fun scene and things you will never wear at home... Check out the details of what the theme dress code is before you leave....apparently they change periodically.

Well, that about sums up a brief FAM report...The final upshot. If you want to be very adventurous and are not shy, check it out. We give it one and a half thumbs up..the deduction coming from fairly mundane food and a lot of problems with the water supply in the face of tropical storms that blew through every day.
